My last Serenade
I do nothing.
I have nothing to do.
Nothing does something for me.
It makes me think of more nothingness.
Something here is nothing.
Thus nothing is something.
That is impossible, because nothing is the opposite of something, while something is the act of doing anything, which is not what nothing is. Nothing is doing not one thing. The void of activity.
Does this mean both something and nothing mean anything?
Do they mean the same thing?
‘Thing’ is too vague of a word.
Someactivity would be better.
So would noactivity.
Something and nothing sound to generic.
Could nothing ever be something? It’s a word, so that’s something.
Aha! Nothing and something have something in common!
I just used one of those words to decribe how they both have something similar. There’s one more thing to add to the list of commonalities for nothing and something.
The word thing is used entirely too often.
Thing is something that complicates things.
This thing is starting to get confusing.
Things can be both something or nothing, which again goes back to how nothing and something have a thing in common. Damn.
But the word bored can sum it up even better!
