The French Fries are called that because they use a french cut. :r
I totally agree with you; like how in the “english” language we spell color two different ways depending on where we are from….i.e. you can tell I’m from america or one of the places they teach english to. Although I think French Fries were “discovered” (by americans so that means they never exsisted till than right?) in french by american soldiers around WW2.

:P This one cracks me up. I had a teacher once that (if I may say so myself) was the funniest person ever. She always complained about how the english language was too complicated!
She’d go on and on for a half hour, and realize that whilst talking about how ’sit up and sit down’ mean the same things, they had nothing to do with the religion class we were in. ![]()
After she left on a Maternity leave, this really made me think of the good ol’ days. ^^
